Vijayawada: Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) from Nandyal constituency SPY Reddy here on Saturday exhorted the students that poverty would not be an obstacle to reach higher positions in their career.A He took part in the 5th annual day celebrations of the Andhra Loyola Institute of Engineering and Technology (ALIET) at Fr. Devaiah auditorium. Speaking on the occasion, he said poverty would not come in their way to progress if the students do hard work, and were determined, persistent and intelligent.. He said that he faced many troubles in his life, but all the qualities helped him to become a successful person. He said that students should aim to become an employer instead of being an employee. He advised them to spend money wisely and not to waste money on unproductive things. Dr K Gopi Krishna, orthopaedic surgeon, said that there are more than 560 million youth in the country who can transform the country into a super power with their service to the society. He said that youth at present were suffering from many ailments because of unhygienic food they consume and lack of physical activity. Later, the programme continued with prize distribution to the academic toppers and cultural activities.
