What happened on Easter Day?

If you remember Jesus last words on the cross "Father, into your hands I entrust my [life]", here Jesus was sure that he would be resurrected back from the death.

It is about three o’clock Friday afternoon when Jesus breathed his last on the cross and his body was put in the tomb closed with a big stone in front of it.

Now its the third day (Sunday) before the sunrise suddenly the earth begins to shake, there's a God's angel come down and rolls the tombstone away. The tomb is empty!

In Acts 2:32 were apostle Peter said: " God has raised this Jesus to life." Yes, Jesus was resurrected with a spirit body which he had before coming to earth.

Now the sun is coming up. Mary Magdalene and other women disciples of Jesus came to the tomb and they see the stone of the tomb was rolled away. And the tomb is empty. Mary Magdalene runs to inform this to some of Jesus apostles, while other women stay by the tomb wondering where could Jesus body be?

Suddenly two of Gods angels appears to the women and they say Why are you looking for Jesus here? He was raised up. Go quickly and tell his disciples.

And when the women were on the way, Jesus appears to them and tell them "Go and tell my disciples."

For 40 days Jesus manifested to his disciples that he is alive. Then he leaves the earth and goes back to heaven.

What this Easter meant for you?

Unlike Jesus disciples, who bore true witness that he was resurrected by God from death and started sharing the good news with everyone. Even in the great tribulation, they kept preaching, they know that if they die, God will remember them like his son.

We can be like Jesus disciples by telling people about the wonderful gift that Jesus gave to us through his sacrifice.

This Easter should give us strong faith and hope that for sure God will remember and resurrect us, just as he did with Jesus.
