NASR Girls Win A Thriller. With just 2 minutes left for the match Tanvi scored through an offensive rebound to make it 12–9 for NASR School.
NASR School recorded a thrilling win over St Francis Jr College in low-scoring match in the BFI-IMG Reliance School basketball league here on Sunday.
In the interesting match, NASR defeated St Francis Jr College by 12-9. St Francis girls were leading the nail biting first half with 5-4.
Both the teams displayed very tight defense and were not allowing their opponents to score at all. The match was going neck to neck and till the last minute any team could have won the match. At the end of 3rd quarter the score was 10–6.
With just 2 minutes left for the match Tanvi scored through an offensive rebound to make it 12–9 for NASR School.
Karuna waged a lone battle for Francis as she could not garner any support from her other team mates.
In boys category, Gitanjali scored a come from behind comfortable 48–37 win over St Andrew’s HS after they were trailing 20-24 at half time.
Both the teams played a fast paced game and the score was going on almost equal till the third quarter.
Gitanjali continued their game in the 4th quarter and consolidated the lead and finally comfortably won 48 – 37.
