Both the teams have been through with their training sessions for the past five days.

It will be a milestone for Andhra Cricket Association-Krishna District Cricket Association (ACA – KDCA) as it will be hosting its first ODI since the division of Andhra Pradesh. The three-match series is crucial to the host as it will facilitate its entry into top four and subsequently ensure a berth in the 2017 World Cup, which will be hosted in England. Earlier, both India and West Indies have played 18 ODIs from 1993 to 2013. India won 14 matches.

The Indian team has a strong line-up with Jhulan Goswamy, Harmanpreet Kaur, Mithali Raj. Shika Pandey and Sukanya. According to coach Poornima Rao, all players are in good nick and they can win the series, although the visiting team will be no push-overs. West Indies team head coach Conneil Drakes opined that being loaded with proven all-rounders, they were oozing with confidence.
