Hyderabad boys, RR girls triumph

Hyderabad: Ranga Reddy girls and boys from Hyderabad emerged triumphant in the fifth Junior Inter-district Sepaktakraw Championship-2018 for boys and girls at Victory Play Ground (VPG) Indoor Stadium in Chaderghat here on Sunday.

The girls summit clash was exciting from the start as Hyderabad players put up a credible showing that saw them win the first set 21-19.

However, the eventual champions bounced back with a telling effect to win the next two with an identical 21-12 margin and clinch the issue.
The boys final was one-sided with Hyderabad dominating it from start to finish against Adilabad.

Later, Gunfoundry Corporator Mamta Gupta gave away the prizes. Telangana Sepaktakraw Association officials, Sridhar, Dr SR Premraj, DSDO Sudhakar and senior swimming administrator G Umesh were present on the occasion.

Results: Girls Final: Ranga Reddy bt Hyderabad 19-21, 21-12, 21-12; Semifinals: Ranga Reddy bt Nizamabad 21-16, 21-15; Hyderabad bt Medak 22-24, 21-09, 21-12;

Boys Final: Hyderabad bt Adilabad 21-14, 21-15; Semifinals: Hyderabad bt Khammam 21-10, 21-14; Adilabad bt Ranga Reddy 18-21, 21-18, 21-16.
