Hyderabad: A young cricket fan breached security at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket stadium at Uppal on Friday to take a selfie with Virat Kohli. The incident took place during the opening session of the first day of India’s second test match against the West Indies. When Kohli fielding at mid-wicket, the young fan ran on the field and embraced the Indian Captain. He tried to kiss on the cheek of Kohli.

Security officers overpowered him and took away from the field. The person identified as Mohammad Khan, 20 belongs to Kadapa. On the violations of rules and security, police booked cases on him under sections 351, 448, 506 of IPC and is investigating the case. During the first test in Rajkot also Kohli was surrounded by selfie-taking fans in the middle of the play.

Police officials took departmental action against S I Prabhakar ( Neredmet), Constable Sreenu (Jawaharnagar and Home Guard Narayana ( Kushaiguda) who showed negligence in performing their duties at Uppal cricket stadium
