Proddutur: K Srinivas Rao, DSP of Proddutur, inaugurated a two-day Kadapa district inter-polytechinic sports and games meet held here at Sai Rajeswari Institute of Technology (SRIT) on Thursday. The chief guest K Srinivas Rao hoisted the Indian flag and declared the start of the games. Sports persons from 14 colleges across the district are participating in the meet. Speaking on the occasion, SRIT director Dr Pandurangan Ravi expressed his best wishes to the participants. Chairman of the college B Rajeshwar Reddy emphasized the need for physical exercise and sports apart from studies.
Addressing the participants, K Srinivas Rao said that such sports meets help youth to showcase their talent. He congratulated the management of the college for coming forward to conduct such sports meets. Later, competitions for various sports such as Volleyball, Badminton, Kabaddi, Table Tennis and Athletics were held.
