Srikakulam: Action will be taken on written complaints, said State Upa Lokayukta MVS Krishnaji Rao. The Upa Lokayuktha, who is here on a two-day tour, visited Arasavalli Sun Temple and Sri Kurmam temple and performed pujas on Sunday.

Addressing the mediamen at Arasavalli, he said that if complaints regarding injustice to the people are written and sent to the Lokayuktha, the officials would respond and resolve them. The complaints should be filled in a prescribed form and submitted along with a fee of Rs 150.

For the poor the fee would be slashed, he said. The complaints should be addressed to Andhra Pradesh Lokayukta, 5-9-49 Basheer Bagh, Hyderabad-500 063. He is on a visit to the temples to collect information regarding temple lands, gold and gifts, which would be analysed before appropriate suggestions and advice are given.

In some temples, committees under the supervision of the Endowments Commissioner would be formed to examine the data, the Upa Lokayuktha said. The Lokayukta booked a suo motu case of the stampede at last year, in which one person was killed and took action, he informed.

It was suggested that separate queues should be maintained for ordinary devotees, ticket holders, VIPs and media persons.A Instead of pure ghee for lighting of lamps, wax was being used by putting a little ghee on top; and action was taken in this matter. As puja material was sold at high prices, the auction method was introduced to prevent this, he said. At the same time focus was made on medical services in the hospitals. Whenever there were complaints regarding medical services action was being taken or sometimes suo motu cases were being booked, he said. Fines were being imposed, he added.

Accreditations of some miscreants who posed as media persons were cancelled, the Upa Lokayukta said. If complaints are made regarding this, action will be taken, he added.A Complaints will be received from people from 11 am to 1.30 pm at Tekkali R&B Guest House on Monday, the Upa Lokayukta said. People can lodge complaints on any problems faced by them.
