London: A man found the love of his life when he inadvertently logged into her Facebook account thanks to a technical glitch on the site.

The couple has married a few months ago and are quite happy to have found each other, Mirror online reported.

Six years ago, Schuler Benson switched his phone on to find it was logged in to a female stranger's Facebook account.

The woman, one Celeste Benson, had no mutual friends and he had never seen or even heard of her before.

In fact, she lived in Colorado, which is over 1,600 km away from Schuler's home in Arkansas.

"I opened the browser, went to facebook.com, and wasn't even given a chance to enter any login information. I was already logged in. I had to make several posts in order to find out I wasn't logged into my own account," Schuler told his story on Imgur.

He said that after some confusion, he was able to log out - but then Celeste sent him a Facebook request.

"It turned out we had a lot in common. Like, a Lot in common. We became close friends online, and finally met in person in June of 2013. In the fall of 2013, she relocated from Colorado to live with me in Arkansas," he added.

A year later the couple got engaged and moved to South Carolina where they married on June 21, 2015.

The story has gone viral since being shared by Schuler on imgur.com.
