For the past two years the second largest telecom Bharti Airtel has been competing with Reliance Jio and has managed to keep competition strong. Now it is introducing a new prepaid plan of Rs 398 to compete with its rivals plan.

This new plan will be offering a validity period of 70 days, 1.5GB 4G data and unlimited voice call without any FUP limit and 90 SMS per day. But there is a small trade-off where the number of unique numbers that can be called each week is limited and the total number of minutes will either be calculated on a daily or weekly basis.

It is not confirmed yet whether Airtel will discontinue its Rs 399 plans in favour of the Rs 398 plan. Last week Airtel revised its Rs 99 plan for the prepaid user. The telco has replaced the prepaid plan of Rs 99 to Rs 119. This plan comes with 2GB data, unlimited local and STD calling, 300 SMS which is valid for 28 days.
