Hyderabad: Farooq Hussain, a Congress Party MLC, has filed nomination for the post of chairman of Telangana state Legislative council, on Tuesday. Many leaders have accompanied the leader to support his candidature.
From the other end, on Tuesday morning, Swamy Goud, a TRS Party MLC, has also filed his nomination for the post of chairman of Telangana state Legislative Council. He has handed over his nomination papers to Sadaram, the assembly secretary, in the presence of many TRS and MIM leaders.
As two candidates have filed nominations, the process of election of council chairman has become an interesting episode. D Srinivas, a Congress party MLC, was hopeful that all the Congress Party MLCs would vote for Farooq. He said that he urged the state governor ESL Narasimhan to procrastinate the process of election of chairman of the council.
