Telangana to Get Hi-Tech Buses. Though Chandrababu Naidu has acclaimed the name of Hi-Tech bloke since long, it seems that his counterpart in Telangana is going more in the same path nowadays.
Hyderabad: Though Chandrababu Naidu has acclaimed the name of Hi-Tech bloke since long, it seems that his counterpart in Telangana is going more in the same path nowadays. According to sources, the government is currently planning 3502 buses in Telangana with GPS facility. The government is also planning advanced options like a system to track the delays of the buses and informing passengers through SMS alerts.
Passengers can track any particular bus in Telangana with a mobile application. All that the commuters have to do is to install the app in their mobiles and key in the four-digit code of that particular bus stop with the required bus route number. They will immediately receive the details of bus timings and delays if any. The project will be called the Hyderabad Intelligent Transportation System (HITS) and will cost the state exchequer a sum of Rs 17Cr. A pilot project of this in Koti-Kondapur route is already conducted added sources.
