In Hyderabad as many as four accidents of two wheelers occur every day, according to a report indicating that the bike riders are the most susceptible group on the road. In the last five months alone, a total of 477 accidents occurred in Hyderabad that includes both minor and major accidents, according to the police records. As many as 116 bikers and pillion riders were killed last year in many such accidents in Hyderabad, according to NCRB statistics. A clear scrutiny of the matter reveals the fact that the number of deaths happening due to bike accidents is thrice more than the number of deaths caused by any other accidents in Hyderabad.
One more interesting fact revealed about these accidents is that most of the accidents have occurred in the outskirts of the city where no heavy traffic is found. Also the main reasons for the accidental deaths turn to be the severe head injuries. Experts opine that a strict imposition of the headgears would definitely play down the fatal injuries to the least. There’s a definite need to consider the vitality of the point.
