Hyderabad: Reputed industrialists and companies are making a beeline to Telangana Secretariat. The latest to join was Birla Group heads. They met Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Saturday. They expressed interest to invest in education and health sectors, besides expanding their cement industry in Telangana State.

The two-member delegation consisting of Birla Group chairman CK Birla and MD Deepak Ketra discussed several issues with KCR. Briefing the Chief Minister on their investment proposals, they sought the help of Telangana government.

In response, Chandrasekhar Rao assured them all possible help from government's side.

He told them about elangana government's unique industrial policy which will include “zero corruption, single window clearance and special chasing cell to ensure transparency” in the whole process. A separate legislation would also be introduced for this, he added. Pointing out about availability of over 3 lakh acres of land for industrial purposes in Telangana, KCR said that his government was planning to set up industrial park here on lines of one in China.

According to a press release from CMO, Birla very keenly heard KCR elucidating the government’s policy. He also told the Chief Minister that industry captains from all over the country had heard about Telangana government's unique vision and are showing interest in investing big time in this new state.
