Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao reiterated his commitment to 12 per cent reservation to Muslims at the Iftar party hosted by the government at Hitex on Tuesday.
He assured that the committee being constituted by the government would come up with a report within three months. After studying the report, the government would immediately take steps forward in extending reservations to the community, Rao said. Allaying apprehensions that the idea would not materialise, he pointed out to the States of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, where quota had crossed more than 50 per cent.
