Kakatiya school bus hit by train; 26 killed
Train Hits Kakatiya School Bus at Masaipet 15 Students Killed. Early on Thursday, a school bus belonging to Kakatiya School was hit by a train at Masaipet of Yeldurthi mandal in Medak district. As many as 15 students fear dead in the incident.
Early on Thursday, a school bus belonging to Kakatiya School was hit by a train at Masaipet of Yeldurthi mandal in Medak district. As many as 28 students fear dead in the incident. At the time of the incident there were 38 students present in the bus. More details are awaited.
According to the sources, the train thrashed the bus with a high speed and thrown the school bus 1km away from the spot. The preliminary investigations reveal that due to the technical lapses, the signal was not displayed and the gates were not closed at the railway opening leading into the very sad incident. The death toll raised to 26 and is likely to increase as reported. The Union Railway Minister and the Chief Minister of Telangana expressed their deep condolence over the matter.
