Telangana Chief Minister KCR eulogized Professor Jyayashankar as a triumphant crusader for spreading the Telangana movement in wide range. KCR unveiled the statue of Jayshankar in Agricultural University, Rajendra Nagar. He said Jayashankar was never compromised on Telangana despite facing many obstacles. KCR made it clear that the university is named after him as per the AP Reorganization Bill. He said 15% of the seats will be allotted to Andhra Pradesh as per the guidelines.
He challenged AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to compete with him in the progress of the state. KCR wished Telangana would become a seed production centre. Ministers Nayani Narsimha Reddy, Mahender Reddy, Pocharam Srinivasa Reddy and others were also present at the occasion.
