Hyderabad: It has been a common trend in India that film stars have temples built by their fans. The journey that began with the building of the temple in Tamilnadu for Khushboo, a famous South Indian heroine, has become a trend setter. Following the same trend, many such temples were built for various film personalities. Nevertheless, over a period of time another new trend has begun in India. The people nowadays have started building temples even for the politicians.

After Sonia Gandhi and the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, it is the turn of KCR to have a temple built for him. The fans of KCR have built a temple of KCR near the main gate of the Agricultural University in Rajendranagar in Hyderabad. The students offered prayers by placing the portrait of KCR inside the temple in place of the deity.
On the walls of temple Jai Telangana is written, apart from marking KCR temple. A sum of Rs 10,000 was spent by the students towards the construction of the temple, reportedly. The students opine that KCR who has fought tirelessly for the formation of Telangana was like a God to them.
