Telangana State police logo finalised, The Telangana government on Sunday finalised the State police logo. It has been designed in navy blue colour with the National Emblem of India (Four Asiatic lions standing back to back with the motto Satyamev Jayate in Devangiri script) in golden colour engraved on the top along with inscription \'Telangana State Police\' at the bottom.

It has been designed in navy blue colour with the National Emblem of India (Four Asiatic lions standing back to back with the motto Satyamev Jayate in Devangiri script) in golden colour engraved on the top along with inscription 'Telangana State Police' at the bottom. The words 'Duty, Honour and Compassion' have also been inscribed as its slogan.

The logo means:

Shield: Global benchmark for law enforcement agencies and resonated the importance of the force.

National Emblem: Symbol of authority. Four Asiatic lions with the adage 'Satyameva Jayate' signify power, courage, pride and confidence. The depiction of the National Emblem in gold further strengthens its sanctity.

Telangana State: Bold script in white identifies the newly created State.

Police: Written in bold text in white on a red band. Red represents power and authority and also symbolic of courage.

Olives: Nested leaves symbolise intention of creating lasting relationships

Duty, Honour and Compassion: Constitute the core values of Telangana Police.

The police logo would become effective from August 15 and would be displayed on uniforms and police vehicles. The logo was designed by Laxman Aelay, the artist who also designed the Telangana logo.

However, government asked the TSDGP to take necessary action accordingly.
