TS govt to conduct its own counselling
TS govt to conduct its own counselling, The Telangana Government late on Monday night decided to follow the schedule of EAMCET counselling as directed by the Supreme Court but with a rider that it wants to conduct its own counselling and issue a separate notification.

Hyderabad: The Telangana Government late on Monday night decided to follow the schedule of EAMCET counselling as directed by the Supreme Court but with a rider that it wants to conduct its own counselling and issue a separate notification. Education Minister G Jagdish Reddy has been given the responsibility of completing the formalities. The TS government contended that the JNTU was located in Telangana State and hence it would be their responsibility to conduct the counselling separately for students of Telangana.
According to the sources, the TSCHE would meet on Tuesday. Chairman of the TSCHE Papi Reddy, principal secretary of Higher Education, commissioner of technical education of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education would participate in the meeting on Tuesday. It is learnt that the AP government has been asked to send three of its representatives.
Papi Reddy was of the view that the council can go ahead with the schedule even if members from APSCHE do not turn up. The notification with details of certificate verification, web options and seat allotment is likely to be issued by the council.
In addition to Eamcet counselling, the four-hour long state cabinet discussed distribution of three acres land to landless Dalits on August 15, Loan waiver scheme and the problems being confronted by the government in its implementation and change of venue of Independence Day celebrations from Parade Grounds to Golconda Fort, special powers to the Governor and the appointment of two advisors to the Governor.
