Hyderabad: The Telangana State Bharatiya Janata Party has sharpened its attack against the TRS government. Obviously miffed at the way Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao criticising Prime Minister Narendra Modi and calling him a fascist, TS BJP president G Kishan Reddy, at a press conference here on Tuesday, accused the TRS of resorting to a campaign of misinformation.

Kishan Reddy asserted that the Centre's directive on conferring special powers on the Governor was in accordance with the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act. "If he (KCR) seeks to make any amendments to the AP Reorganisation Act, he can go to Delhi and meet the Prime Minister. Amendments to the Act can be made by Parliament along,” the BJP leader said.

He said he would also write to all the Chief Ministers in the country regarding KCR’s proposed campaign. "Unfortunately, the Telangana CM and his party is spreading false information and wrongly accusing the Prime Minister in the most derogatory manner and the Union government as fascist, which is unwarranted and highly unbecoming of someone occupying a responsible Constitutional position as Chief Minister," he said in the letter addressed to Tamil Nadu Chief Mini-ster. The copies of the letter were distributed to the media. He sought to drive his point home by saying that a separate Telangana state would not have been a reality but for the support of the BJP.
