Hyderabad: The city police announced traffic restrictions between 10.30 am and 1 pm on Thursday on Tank Bund in view of the ceremony being held to induct new police vehicles.
City police commissioner M Mahender Reddy requested the public to start early and take alternate routes to reach their destinations. He informed that traffic coming from Secunderabad towards Upper Tank Bund would be diverted at Karbala Maidan towards Bansilalpet, while traffic coming from Lower Tank bund and Telugu Talli flyover towards Secunderabad would be diverted at DBR Mills towards Kavadiguda.
Similarly, traffic coming from Kavadiguda towards lower Tank Bund would be diverted at DBR Mills towards Kattamaisamma temple. Traffic coming from Iqbal Minar towards Upper Tank Bund would be diverted at Secretariat old gate, while Traffic coming from Liberty statue would be diverted towards BRK Bhavan. Traffic coming from NTR Marg towards Liberty would be diverted at Telugu Talli junction towards IT office, the commissioner said.
He added RTC buses coming from Ravindra Bharathi towards Upper Tank Bund would be diverted at Secretariat old gate and buses coming from Basheerbagh towards upper Tank Bund would be diverted at Liberty towards Himayathnagar. Similarly, buses coming from Secunderabad would be diverted at Karbala Maidan towards Kavadiguda and buses coming from Nirankari Bhavan towards Liberty would be diverted towards Ravindra Bharathi.
