Karimnagar: Finance Minister Etela Rajender has said that the government will ensure uninterrupted power supply in the State by 2019.

The Minister took part in various developmental activities worth Rs 21 crore in the district on Wednesday.

The various activities in which the Minister participated include unveiling of the statue of Prof. Kothapalli Jayashankar at Kotireddy Palli, laying of foundation stones for construction of a culvert at a cost of Rs 4 crore at Uppal in Kamalapur mandal, construction of culvert at a cost of Rs 3 crore at Nadikuda and for an electricity sub-station at a cost of Rs 1 crore at Malyalala Koti. Karimnagar MP B Vinod Kumar also accompanied the Minister.

They also laid stone for a boys’ hostel at Jammikunta which will be constructed utilizing a sum of Rs 40 lakh. They laid foundation stone for a Primary Health Centre which is being set up at a cost of Rs 80 lakh at Veenavanka.

They also laid foundation stones for an electricity sub-station at Sanigaram village and for a bore well at Cheruvumuttadi in Kamalapur mandal.

Foundation stones were also laid for an electricity sub-station at Malchala in Jammikunta mandal and for a BT road from Illantakunta to Kamalapur.

They inaugurated a girls hostel at the Government Degree College in Jammikunta mandal centre.
