KCR, the Chief Minister of Telangana will be unveiling the statue of Konda Lakshman Bapuji, who is more aptly known as the Father of Telangana, at Padmashali Bhavani in Nararaynguda, on Saturday. Today is the 99th birth anniversary of Konda Lakshman Bapuji, who has sacrificed so much for the sake of statehood for Telangana.
Konda Lakshman Bapuji belongs to the community of weavers, who is known by the caste name Padmashali. Bapuji was the first person to tender resignation to his minister post during the first phase of Telangana agitation.
