The Telangana State Chief Minister K.Chandra Shekhar Rao was approached by the legal heirs of late Nizam VII, who are still waiting for the compensation from the state government which acquired the private properties of Nawab Mir Osman Ali Khan Bahadur Nizam VII .

Hyderabad: The Telangana State Chief Minister K.Chandra Shekhar Rao was approached by the legal heirs of late Nizam VII, who are still waiting for the compensation from the state government which acquired the private properties of Nawab Mir Osman Ali Khan Bahadur Nizam VII .

The inventory of the immovable properties was given by the Nizam VII to the Government of India in 1953. These were accepted as private properties of Nizam VII.

According to the Nizam Family welfare associataion,”The state government announced that it had purchased about 15,964 acres from the Nizam in 1955-56, for the sale consideration of Rs 4 lakh, which were still yet to be received. In 1991, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh had given an assurance that the issue will be taken up in a special court under the Land Grab (Prevention) Act, However the issue was not taken up later.”
