Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB) invoked the RR Act by confiscating mobile assets for non-payment of dues from a defaulter under the jurisdiction of O&M Division. No. X, Sahebnagar on Wednesday.
The occupants of the premises of Sai Krishna Enclave, Hill Fort Colony, Vanasthalipuram, have been served disconnection notices and Red Notice along with Form-I under the RR Act. Despite the warnings, the customers failed to pay the dues of about Rs 1 Lakh. Hence, under the RR Act, the moveable assets proportionate to the dues like bikes, TVs, furniture etc., were seized in the presence of V L Praveen Kumar, Chief General Manager (Engg), Revenue Circle, C Raja, FAC General Manager (Engg), O&M Division No X, Sahebnagar, D Srinivas Reddy, Dy General Manager (Engg), Sub-Division-II, O&M Division No X, L B Nagar and officials of Vigilance Wing, Task Force.
M Jagadeeshwar, IAS, Managing Director of HMWS&SB reiterated that the Board would not tolerate defaulters and consumers were requested to make payments promptly.
