Peddapalli (Karimnagar): Dodla Poshamma, a native of Raghavapur in Peddapalli mandal, celebrated her 110th birthday in the presence of the family members here on Sunday. Born on October 19, 1904, she has three sons, 16 grandsons and grand-daughters and two great-grandsons. Despite the advancing age, Poshamma remains active. She attends to all her works.
Ramya, her grand-daughter, pointed out that due to rising environmental pollution and consumption of food cultivated using chemical fertilizers, people were getting afflicted by diseases at young age. In such a scenario, she expressed astonishment over her grandmother taking up various tasks on her own.
