Members of the Progressive Democratic Students’ Union (PDSU), Telangana Nirvasita Forum, Telangana Vidyarthi Vedika and Bahujan Students’ Federation joined the protest. They demanded immediate steps to protect KU lands.
Office-bearers of student organizations M Chiranjeevi, P Mohan Raj,. Sudhakar, Raju, Durgam Saraiah, Vijay, Bokka Praveen, Suresh, Mahender, Narender told the media that some university officials were ’supporting’ land grabbers.

They alleged that a police officer, some politicians and leaders of a student union were plotting to encroach 3.7 acres in survey number 413 in Palivelpula.

They said though there were records demarcating KU boundaries, some officials were colluding with encroachers and failed to initiate action to protect lands.

The leaders warned grabbers not to encroach university land and said serious steps would be taken. They asked the university officials to refrain from supporting encroachments.

Following the protest, KU In-charge Registrar Prof. MV Ranga Rao and Development Officer Prof. P Sammulal inspected the land. They told the media the land in survey number 413 belonged to the university.

Ranga Rao said some persons, venturing to raise structures, have been claiming that the disputed land was in survey number 414, and not 413. This dispute has to be cleared by Revenue officials.
