Hyderabad: Miffed over the manner in which the TRS and BJP jointly launched massive attack against the Congress, the party leaders alleged that TRS had proved to be a thankless party.

Speaking to the media at the CLP office after the House adjourned sine-die, CLP leader K Jana Reddy, along with MLAs T Jeevan Reddy, J Geetha Reddy, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said that the TRS government which had been claiming that it was doing what no one in the world had so far done was proving right in one aspect. He said the government was introducing new practices in parliamentary procedure and was displaying a revengeful attitude.

He said though the Congress issued whip, it changed its mind and displayed restraint and extended support to the Appropriation Bill with an intention to give some more time to the government.

But the government exhibited its intolerance by making irresponsible allegations against AICC chief Sonia Gandhi, who granted statehood to Telangana. He said, “We are condemning the attitude of the government. There would not have been the TRS government, had Sonia Gandhi not granted Telangana State,” he said.

He also said the Telangana Congress leaders had convinced Sonia Gandhi to give Telangana by tendering resignations. Stating that the people were observing every move of the government, Jana Reddy said the Congress would tirelessly work to return to power in the next elections.

Another MLA Jeevan Reddy alleged that the TRS government not only insulted sacrifices of the Telangana martyrs but also dishonored Sonia Gandhi in the House. The TRS government, which was allocating Rs 1,000 crores to the Metro Rail for re-alignment purpose was least bothered about the welfare of the families of martyrs, he said.

Finding fault with the government for ignoring suicides of farmers, Jeevan Reddy said farmers were committing suicides as the government failed to announce a clear policy on the loan waiver scheme.

Dubbing the Telangana Assembly as 'Gaana Sabha', former minister J Geeta Reddy slammed Deputy Chief Minister T Rajaiah for criticising Sonia Gandhi. She said it was a bad day in the history. Kishan Reddy, who failed to tender his resignation during Telangana movement, was now speaking about Sonia Gandhi, she added.
