Hyderabad: Telangana State Home Minister Naini Narasimha Reddy said on Wednesday the government was already implementing the demands raised by the Maoists by distributing lands to landless, increasing the pension for senior citizens and physically-challenged and rejuvenating water bodies and creating road infrastructure..

“Earlier, apprehensions were raised about security of the Andhraities who settled down in Hyderabad after bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh. There was any such thing (incident). Not a single (such) incident took place during the last six months since formation of Telangana state,” he said.

In his address to 12th batch of Sub-Inspector/Executive at the National Industrial Security Academy (NISA) at Hakimpet here, Reddy called upon the officers to prepare them to effectively meet the emerging challenges po3ed by new forms of terrorism and insurgency. He also stressed the growing role of CISF in the changing security scenario, particularly in key areas like VIP security, disaster management, government building and aviation security.

NISA Director Anil Kumar also spoke on the occasion. A total of 116 SIs/Executive passed out of the Academy after successfully completing their basic training.
