Hyderabad: Telangana Assembly Speaker Madhusudhana Chary has served notices to two former Congress MLAs Redya Naik and Yadaiah, who switched loyalties towards the ruling TRS recently. He asked them to submit their explanations within a week.

This decision comes in the wake of Congress party’s complaint in writing to the Speaker to take action against two of its members under the anti-defection law. It may be mentioned here that Speaker served similar notices to two other Congress MLAs Koram Kanakaiah and Vittal Reddy 10 days ago. According to sources, they have sought three months time.

Meanwhile, Speaker did not take a decision on TDP’s complaint seeking action against three of its MLAs-T Srinivas Yadav, Teegala Krishna Reddy and C Dharma Reddy. Speaker office staff said that Madhusudhana Chary was still examining contents of the petition, whether it was according to rules etc.
