Warangal: Joint Collector Pausumi Basu appealed to all the LPG consumers to submit their Aadhaar card and bank accounts details with their respective gas dealers by December 31.

In order to avail the modified Direct Benefit Transfer of LPG Subsidy (DBTL), also being called Pratyaksh Hanstantarit Labh (PAHAL), all the consumers need to link their bank accounts with Aadhaar numbers, she said.

The Joint Collector launched an awareness campaign at the Collectorate on Friday. It was organised by the LPG Dealers Association. The DBTL scheme was being re-launched on January 1, 2015. “Campaign was launched in order to educate the consumers about the scheme and the need to link their bank accounts with Aadhaar so that they can avail subsidy,” she said.

The LPG consumers have to provide their customer number, Xerox copies of Aadhaar card and first page of their bank passbook to their respective dealers or could hand over the same to their deliver boys. The gas agencies would also be kept open on Sundays, she said.

The consumers who had joined the scheme earlier and received cash into their accounts need not do anything further, informed the LPG Dealers Association president P Venkateshwara Rao and general secretary PV Madanmohan. The consumers could check their cash transfer compliant (CTC) status on www.mylpg.in

Advance amount would be credited into the bank accounts of consumers as soon as they make the first booking for a cylinder after joining the scheme, prior to the delivery, they added.

LPG Dealers Association vice-president M Srinivas Reddy, HPCL official Satish Kumar, BPCL official Aftab Vakil, officials of the District Information and Public Relations department M Balagangadhar Tilak and DS Jagan and others were present.
