Talasani assures action against assaulters
Hyderabad: Cinematography Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav has assured that the State government would take stern action against those involved in the attack on comedian Venu. Speaking to media persons after paying a visit to Venu at the hospital where he is undergoing treatment, the Minister said the State government would not tolerate any acts of violence and stern action would be taken against the assaulters.
He said cinema and TV artists perform some acts only to entertain people and those acts should not be mistaken as personal insult or humiliation of a community. It may be mentioned here that comedian Venu was assaulted allegedly by members of a community, who accused him of offending their community and hurting their sentiments through his acts in a comedy show on a Telugu channel.
