Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao urged the Union government to include historical structures in the State in the list of World Heritage Sites and get the approval of UNESCO. In a letter to Union Minister of State for Culture Mahesh Sharma, he said not a single site was included from Telangana in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites though the international organisation evaluated Charminar, Qutb Shahi monuments and Golkonda as important heritage sites in the country in 2012. The Chief Minister wanted the Union government to take up the issue of including Hyderabad in the list of heritage sites in 2015 which would give Telangana a glory of having its first UNESCO World Heritage Site.
