Hyderabad: Telangana Minister for Civil Supplies and Finance Eatala Rajendar on Sunday warned of criminal action against those who resorted to misuse fine rice scheme.
Speaking to media persons here, Rajendar said the scheme was aimed at providing healthy food to students studying in welfare hostels. He also interacted with ST Hostel students, who thanked him for distributing fine rice. The Minister said any diversion of the rice would be a crime and the government would take stringent measures to punish the guilty.
Rajendar asked the officials and staff concerned to ensure that the students get timely and healthy food prepared in complete hygienic conditions. He also said the TRS government was planning to provide full quantity food to the students instead of limited quantity being offered now.
OU JAC leader Shankar Naik appreciated the TRS government for distributing fine rice to the hostels and profusely thanked Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for the same.
