Endowments Minister Indrakaran Reddy inaugurated the five-day Aaradhanotsav festival of Sri Thyagaraja Swamy at Sri Rajarajeshwara Swamy Temple in Vemulawada on Saturday. The tradition of observing the death anniversary of Sri Thyagarajaswamy began here 62 years ago when famous playback singer the late Ghantasala Venkateswar Rao inaugurated the event at the temple by rendering songs of Thyagaraja.

It would be a feast to music lovers, specially those who have an ear for classical music. The audience would be enthralled by the Kirtanas of Thyagaraja. Singers Swathi, Sowmya and Revathi rendered the Pancharatna ganam of the Thyagaraja kritis. A Bharati Harikatha was presented. Karimnagar MP Vinod Kumar, MLAs Chinnamaneni Ramesh Babu, Bodiga Shobha, Temple Executive Officer Rajesham were present.
