Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali has assured that the Telangana government was determined to provide better facilities to the Haj pilgrims this year. Speaking after releasing the Haj application forms for the Haj 2015, at Haj House in Nampally here on Monday, the Deputy CM said the government would sort out the issue of accommodation in Rubat (Guest House) in Makka Mukaramma in KSA this year, so that 600 Haj pilgrims could get free accommodation there. It would be the endeavour of the government to see that almost all the pilgrims of the State get free accommodation in Makkah during Haj, he said.

Mahmood Ali further said the Telangana government would send a Building Selection Team for selection of good quality accommodation in Makkah so that the Haj pilgrims might not face any problem. It would be ensured that the food supplied to the Haj pilgrims was prepared by the Indian people.

Nampally MLA Jaffer Hussain Meraj advised the applicants to show restrain and tolerance right from obtaining forms till the Haj was over, as the religion attaches much importance to tolerance and restrain. Minorities Welfare Department Special Secretary Syed Omer Jaleel clarified that there was no quota for the MPs, Ministers and even the Haj Committee.

Therefore, he said that the Haj aspirants should not get misled by the unscrupulous elements. He advised the Haj Committee to open more counters to facilitate the Haj applicants to fill in the Haj forms online. Telangana State Haj Committee Special Officer Prof S A Shukoor explained in detail the action plan and said, “All the conditions for Haj applicants are same as were during last year except that the selected pilgrims will be paid SR 1500 in place of SR 2100 as an amount of SR 600 will be deducted towards animal sacrifice and food in Madeenah.

Apart from this, the applicants and pilgrims have the option to fill in and submit the Haj Applications online and submit hard copies with photograph to the Haj Committee.” The Telangana State Haj Committee would conduct Qurrah (Draw of Lots) for two States of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. He also assured that the State Haj Committee would provide every facility to fill in the Haj application form manually or online at the Haj House and Princess Esra Hospital would open Medical Camp as usual from 11 am to 4 pm.
