Sircilla police conducted a special drive here on Thursday and seized 600 two-wheelers plying on roads without valid documents and number plates. With the rise in chain snatching incidents, police have intensified searches in Sircilla town. It became difficult for police to identify two-wheelers which are used by chain snatchers without number plates.
Karimnagar: Sircilla police conducted a special drive here on Thursday and seized 600 two-wheelers plying on roads without valid documents and number plates. With the rise in chain snatching incidents, police have intensified searches in Sircilla town. On the instructions of the DSP, the police conducted a special drive at various places in the town and seized 600 two-wheelers which were not having number plates.
Police also seized newly purchased two-wheelers plying on roads without temporary registration number. They shifted the seized two-wheelers to the police station.
Sircilla town Circle Inspector Vijay Kumar said the police would hand over two-wheelers to their owners if they produce valid documents. He stated that cases would be filed against the owners of two-wheelers if police found them once again without number plates and valid documents.
