Hyderabad: Telangana Home Minister Naini Narasimha Reddy will launch a fleet of new vehicles for Telangana Police Department at an event to be held at Necklace Road on Saturday. In order to make police more responsive, professional and mobile to attend to problems of the citizens of the State, the Telangana government had sanctioned 600 vehicles for the police department.

“This addition of new fleet will enable the department to provide individual vehicles to every police station in the State. The police will now be able to respond more quickly and adequately to any situation warranting their attention and intervention,” said Director General of Police Anurag Sharma. This is the third large-scale addition to the State police mobile fleet after creation of the new State.
