Hyderabad: The proposed railway coach factory at Kazipet is set to gain momentum with Telangana government allotting 52 acres for the project. Centre assured this project to Telangana during bifurcation and it was even included in AP Reorganisation Act. Although Warangal administration identified suitable land for setting up of the wagon factory, due formalities could not be completed as it was later found to be endowments land.
However, the land issue was resolved after Endowments Minister Indrakaran Reddy took personal interest and expedited the clearances. Accordingly, a GO was issued by the government on Wednesday. The said land was handed over to the railways to undertake the prestigious project.
