Fire engulfs `40 lakh property at pharma company

A major fire ravaged Sri Krishna Pharmaceuticals Limited, a unit at IDA Uppal on Monday, reducing the Rs 40 lakh worth stored raw material to ashes. However, no casualties have been reported.

The fire broke out at around 11.55 am. Smoke billowing out of the unit was seen as far as one kilometer away from the spot. Fire and rescue service personnel were alerted immediately and three fire tenders from Moula Ai and Hayathnagar were swunginto action.
