Mega powerloom cluster will come up in Sircilla: KTR
A mega powerloom cluster will come up in Sircilla in Karimnagar district, according to IT and Panchayat Raj Minister K T Rama Rao. Speaking to media here on Monday, KTR said the TRS government appealed to the Centre to set up a powerloom cluster. The Centre is likely to announce the sanction during the ensuing budget session of the Parlaiment, he said.
Hyderabad: A mega powerloom cluster will come up in Sircilla in Karimnagar district, according to IT and Panchayat Raj Minister K T Rama Rao. Speaking to media here on Monday, KTR said the TRS government appealed to the Centre to set up a powerloom cluster. The Centre is likely to announce the sanction during the ensuing budget session of the Parlaiment, he said. “We hope that the Centre would take a resolute decision to check the problem of suicides by weavers in the district.”
He also hoped the Centre might give priority and special category status to the State in the ensuing budget session. The State Government too is taking all measures to prevent suicides with adequate funds and schemes, KTR stated. In the next budget session, the State government will come up with a plan to contain suicides of weavers, who need timely succour, he maintained. KTR also said Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, who is in Delhi will ask the Centre to honour AP Reorganisation Act. KCR is to seek Central assistance on special status to Telangana State, funds to various projects and heads and clearance for pending projects.
