Hyderabad: Union Minister of Minority Affairs Dr Najma Heptulla reassured her Ministry’s full support in carrying forward the programmes launched in Telangana State for the welfare of all Minority communities.


In a letter addressed to Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, the Union Minister said that she had already directed the officials of her Ministry to expeditiously deal with the proposals coming from the Telangana government to the Ministry of Minority Affairs. Recalling her meeting with the Deputy Chief Minister Mohammad Mahmood Ali on February 10 in New Delhi, she said that she had a fruitful interaction with him and got a firsthand appraisal of various schemes and programmes launched in the State. She thanked Chandrashekar Rao for his letter intimating the remarkable achievements of the Telangana government in enrolling members of the minority communities in Aadhaar and opening of bank accounts and linking them with the Aadhaar numbers for the distribution of different scholarships.
