Hyderabad: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao himself had raised the issue of ‘settlers’ in Hyderabad.

Addressing a press conference here on Friday, BJP National Executive member N Ramchander Rao said KCR was the one who raised the issue of ‘settlers’ and created a controversy.

However, now he changed his stand by saying that those living in the city are ‘Hyderabadis’.

He said KCR’s statement was aimed at gaining political mileage during the MLC elections for graduate constituencies, Sanathnagar Assembly by-elections and the ensuing GHMC elections. Ramchander Rao demanded that KCR maintain one stand on any given issue.

He also advised him to start acting like an elected representative and not like a ‘Tughlaq’ (monarch).
