Nalgonda: Sri Lakshminarasimha Swamy temple at Yadagirigutta will forthwith become familiar as “Yadadri”. Following the request of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, Sri Tridandi Chinna Jeeyar Swami has named the hill shrine as Yadadri.
The Chief Minister along with Chinna Jeeyar Swami visited Sri Lakshminarasimha Swamy temple at Yadagirigutta on Thursday. Chandrashekar Rao and Chinna Jeeyar Swami conducted an aerial survey of the hill shrine. The Chief Minister explained to the Swamiji about the proposed development works on and down the hill shrine. He sought suggestions from the Swamiji on the development of the temple as per Agama Sastra.
Later, on their arrival at the temple, the priests of the temple welcomed them with Poorna Kumbham. They offered special pooja to the presiding deity.
On the premises of the temple, Chinna Jeeyar Swami made suggestions to the Chief Minister on development of the temple for almost half-an-hour.
Later, they examined Vishnu Pushkarani, Sri Chakara Complex, Sahithya Bhavan and choultries. The Chief Minister has shown the places to Jeeyar Swami where the new works were proposed to be taken up.
The Chief Minister along with Jeeyar Swami held a review meeting with the officials, sthapaths and temple architects in Andal Nilayam.
Making several suggestions at the meeting, Chinna Jeeyar Swami felt that the master plan and architectural designs of the temple are perfectly in accordance with Agama Sastra. He said the main temple (Garba Gudi) and inner entrance gate should not be touched or altered during the development of the temple.
Praising the Chief Minister for deciding to allocate Rs 100 crore in the budget every year for the development of Yadagirigutta temple, Chinna Jeeyar Swami said that it is for the first time in the history of the nation that any State government made such large budgetary allocation for a single temple. He appreciated Chandrashekar Rao for his commitment and sincerity in developing the temple town Yadagirigutta.
The Chief Minister explained to Jeeyar Swami that the hill shrine would be developed in 6.5 acres of land and auspicious Mada Veedhulu would be developed around the temple. A huge Hanuman idol and a hall for those taking Hanuman Deeksha would be constructed. Haritha Vanam would be developed in front of the main temple.
A parking lot for 100 vehicles on the hill and a parking lot with 5,000 vehicles down the hill shrine would be set up, he added. He also informed that mono rail would also be run for the convenience of the devotees. The major tanks located at Rayagiri and Yadagirigutta would be developed under Mission Kakatiya. These places would be transformed into tourist centres, he added.
On the request of the Chief Minister, Chinna Jeeyar Swami named the shill shrine as “Yadadri” and assured to suggest names to remaining eight hills which are located near the hill shrine.
Minister for Endowments Indrakaran Reddy, Minister for Energy G Jagadish Reddy, Deputy Chairman of Legislative Council Nethi Vidya Sagar, Government Whip G Sunitha, Bhongir MP Dr Boora Narsaiah Goud and Nakrekal MLA Vemula Veeresham were present.
