GHMC to seek citizens views on budget

GHMC Commissioner and Special Officer Somesh Kumar on Thursday informed that the corporation would seek the suggestions of citizens while preparing the annual budget for 2015-16. Somesh Kumar said an innovative approach would be adopted to present this year’s budget as the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has been allocated Rs 628 crore by the State government in its annual budget for the year 2015-16.
Hyderabad: GHMC Commissioner and Special Officer Somesh Kumar on Thursday informed that the corporation would seek the suggestions of citizens while preparing the annual budget for 2015-16. Somesh Kumar said an innovative approach would be adopted to present this year’s budget as the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has been allocated Rs 628 crore by the State government in its annual budget for the year 2015-16. The GHMC’s budget was to be presented in the month of February itself. However, it got delayed as the Commissioner wanted to incorporate the suggestions of citizens on various developmental activities. The budget proposals will be kept on the website so that citizens could share their views or give suggestions.
