Hyderabad: Taking a strong note of an article published in The Hans India “Elitist traffic cops turn blind eye to the violations”, the Home Minister Naini Narsimha Reddy assured to end traffic woes caused due to the fleet of cars parked by walkers in a haphazard manner on roadsides, near KBR Park in Banjara Hills.

Replying to a question posed by Prof K Nageshwar (Independent), Naini said that the action would be taken against all those who violate traffic norms near KBR Park. The minister said that he would issue necessary orders to the department officials to end this problem. “I ensure that this will not continue further,” the minister assured.

Prof Nageshwar pointed out that the traffic cops who are ready with cameras and take pictures even for petty violations by bikers, unfortunately, continue to wink at the ‘VVIP’ cars being parked on the roads near KBR Park. Almost half of the road is occupied by the cars even though it is a ‘no parking’ zone. Parking of these cars was causing huge traffic snarls during morning and evening. “Are there different set of traffic rules for common people and those who own big cars?” he asked.
