Beedi workers stage rasta roko for pension

Beedi workers organised a rasta roko on Karimnagar-Jagtial road at Tarakarama Nagar in Jagtial mandal on Wednesday. They expressed anger over the officials for not sanctioning monthly pension for eligible beedi workers. Vehicles were stranded on both sides of the road for about three km as 200 beedi workers squatted on the road for more than an hour.
