Nalgonda: The Telangana State Police bid tearful adieu to police constable Nagaraju who laid down his life, bravely fighting two terror suspects on Saturday in Nalgonda district. The remote village Rasoolgudem of Kattangur mandal was soaked in tears on Sunday as Nagaraju’s body was bought here for last rites. A pall of gloom dawned on the village where hundreds of admirers, relatives and classmates of Nagaraju descended to pay their last tributes.
A team of senior State-level police officials from Hyderabad and Nalgonda districts participated in the heartrending event. Naveen Chand, IG, Prabhakar Rao, SP, Nalgonda, Mohan Reddy, DSP, Bhongir, Ramulu Naik, DSP, Nalgonda and various other police personnel attended the last rites of Nagaraju. Sudeep Lakhtakia Additional DGP (Law &Order) attended the funeral of Nagaraju on behalf of the Director General of Police.
