Nizamabad: The Telugu Desam Party(TDP) on Saturday demanded that the State government immediately release the compensation for damaged crops and pay the insurance amount to farmers in the Telangana state. The TDP team consisting of Telugu Desam Legislature Party leader Errabelli Dayakar Rao,,Cantonment MLA G Sayanna, MLC Aarikela Narsa Reddy, Armoor Assembly Constituency Convener Rajaram Yadav and District party leaders visited the Konduru village of Sirkonda mandal to assess the crop damage. The team visited field of Rajireddy, who sow paddy in 12 acres and lost the entire crop due to the heavy rains and hail-storms.

The team members interacted with Rajireddy to know about crop damage. The farmer said he had invested about Rs three lakhs to sow 12 acres crop, but he lost the entire crop due to the hailstorms. After that the team members visited the other fields in the village and interacted with Konduru farmers and assessed the crop damage. Speaking on the occasion, Errabelli said in Telangana state farmers lost both kharif and rabi season crops. In kharif they lost crops due to low rainfall and power cuts, now in rabi they lost crops due to the heavy rains and hail storms.
